API description
Retrieves a collection of Alerts.
Supports OData V4 queries.
OData supported operators:
$filteron:alertCreationTime,lastUpdateTime,incidentId,InvestigationId,id,asssignedTo,detectionSource,lastEventTime,status,severityandcategoryproperties.$topwith max value of 10,000$skip$expandofevidence- See examples at OData queries with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
Limitations
You can get alerts last updated according to your configured retention period.
Maximum page size is 10,000.
Rate limitations for this API are 100 calls per minute and 1,500 calls per hour.
Permissions
When obtaining a token using user credentials:
The user needs to have at least the following role permission:
View Data. For more information,see: Create and manage roles.The response includes only alerts that are associated with devices that the user can access, based on device group settings. For more information, see: Create and manage device groups.
One of the following permissions is required to call this API. To learn more, including how to choose permissions, see Use Microsoft Defender for Endpoint APIs.
