Outlook for Android will not authenticate

Outlook for Android, after download/install from Google Play, will not complete authentication of my valid Hotmail email address. After clicking 'add account', entering the email address, then the 'next' button, the screen indicator just spins continuously. I've cleared cache, cleared data, uninstall/reinstall, tried manual install (that one said it could not contact the server), etc. What's weird is that my initial install/setup went fine. Syncing was an issue so I tried uninstalling Outlook, but now upon reinstall, no authentication. I'm using a brand new Lenovo Ide Tab TB336FU...

Thanks for explaining the issue. Outlook for Android stalls on the loading screen when the app cannot reach Microsoft sign in services.

Check Android date and time set to automatic. Confirm Google Play services are up to date. Turn off VPN, private DNS, or network filtering. Try a different network such as a mobile hotspot. Outlook for Android requires access to login.live.com and outlook.office.com to complete authentication.
