Microsoft Edge may open links in new tabs based on user settings or specific behaviors of the website. If you want to change this behavior, you can adjust the settings related to tab management. However, the context provided does not specify a direct method to stop Edge from opening everything in a new tab. You might want to check your browser settings or extensions that could influence tab behavior.

To manage how tabs are opened, you can look into the following:

    1. Settings: Check the settings in Microsoft Edge under Settings and more > Settings > Appearance or Privacy, search, and services to see if there are options related to tab management.
    2. Extensions: Sometimes browser extensions can alter tab behavior, so reviewing your installed extensions may help.
    3. Group Policies: If you are in a managed environment, certain group policies might enforce tab behavior, which could be adjusted by an administrator.

If you want to prevent Edge from opening a new tab for specific links, you may need to right-click on the link and select the option to open it in the same tab instead.

    Hi,

If you're clicking on links from the new tab page, you can turn this behavior off by clicking the cog icon and toggling off Open in a new tab. If the links are coming from a different area, where exactly are you clicking them so I can check whether there is a way to change that behavior as well?

Every link I click opens a new tab. Where can this be turned off? I can't find that on the settings. I checked Appearance / Tabs, but couldn't find it there. Couldn't find it on Accessibility either. Where is it?
