    Hi @Jan Cox

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Thank you for reaching out to us. I understand how important it is to regain access to your Microsoft 365 Admin Center, and I’m here to assist you.

To better diagnose the issue and provide the right solution, could you please share the following details:

    1. Could you clarify the nature of the login issue? For example, is it related to Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), a password reset, or another specific error?
    2. Could you provide a screenshot or the exact error message you’re seeing? This will help us accurately identify the root cause of the issue.
    3. Are you the sole Global Administrator for your tenant, or do other administrators also have access to the Admin Center?

In the meantime, please try these quick troubleshooting steps:

    1/ Clear cookies

    • In your browser, go to Settings > Privacy and Security
    • Select Clear browsing data
    • Choose Cookies and other site data
    • Click Clear data
    • Restart your browser and try signing in again   User's image

    2/ Use a private/incognito browser Window

    • Open your browser (e.g., Chrome, Edge, Firefox)
    • Press Ctrl + Shift + N (Windows) or Command + Shift + N (Mac) to open a private window
    • Go to Microsoft 365 admin center
    • Sign in with your account   User's image

3/ Try a different browser or device

    • Alternatively, try signing in from a different browser or device (e.g., another computer or mobile phone)

Once we have the requested details, we’ll guide you through the appropriate steps to reactivate your account. Please follow these steps and let me know if it works for you. If not, we can work together to resolve this.

Thank you for your patience and your understanding. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to share them in the comments on this post so I can continue to support you.

I look forward to your thoughts on this.

If you are unable to log into the Microsoft 365 admin center to reactivate your account, there are several potential issues you might be facing:

    1. Account Type: Ensure that you are signing in with the correct account type. If you are using a personal Microsoft account (MSA) instead of a Microsoft Entra ID, you will not be able to access the admin center. Make sure to use the work or school account associated with your organization.
    2. Redirect to Azure Portal: If you are being redirected to the Azure portal when trying to access the admin center, this could be due to your organization's Outlook settings. You may need to ask your IT administrators to check the safe links list in their Microsoft Defender policy settings.
    3. Profile Setup Error: If you see an error like "An error occurred while setting up your profile," it may indicate that you are trying to sign in with an invalid account type or an account that is not managed by your organization. Ensure you are using the correct Microsoft Entra ID.
    4. Admin Role: If you have a Microsoft Online Services Agreement (MOSA), make sure you are at least a Billing Administrator, as this is required to perform tasks in the admin center.

If you continue to experience issues, consider reaching out to your organization's IT support for further assistance.

Thank you for your detailed recommendations. I methodically worked through those to no avail. I then spent over an hour on chat with Microsoft Team. After being transferred to a supervisor, he very quickly advised me on what was causing my issue and fact that neither he nor I could resolve it. He saw that my Microsoft subscription was paid directly to Best Buy and someone on their team disabled my account by mistake. I used their Geek Squad who was able to fix the issue by refunding my payment to link with the cancellation and purchasing a new subscription. Best Buy Geek Squad has helped me several times. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for other (non Geek Squad) issues associated with Best Buy. They have a Corporate Policy (as explained to me by their Asst Mgr) that no staff- not even management is allowed to accept phone calls. All calls are routed to their call center outside of the USA. I have spent many frustrating hours with their call center who simply will read from a script, refuse one to speak with store staff and just tell you they are sorry if they cannot fix the issue. Sad…. I understand their need to cut costs- but not allowing store personnel to help those who have questions about items purchased, warranties, etc. is simply a poor business practice - in both my opinion and the Asst Store Mgr. All that to say the issue is finally resolved. I thank you for your excellent follow up.
