How do I separate my video feed from my participants' video feeds?

During the school shutdowns of 2020, my school district used Zoom. I have a two monitor setup and was able to put my content on one window and the participants' video feeds in the second.

We no longer use Zoom and are now using Teams. Is there a way in Teams to create this same setup? I am not trying to separate content, just my video feed (that I am sharing) from my participants' video.

    Hi @Ullrich Reichenbach II,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concern regarding keeping your video feed separate from participants’ video feeds during Teams meetings. I can truly understand the importance of maintaining clarity and engagement in a dual-monitor setup.

To achieve this, please try the following steps for macOS and Windows:

    1.  For macOS
    • On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Displays in the sidebar.
    • Click the “Arrangement” tab
    • You’ll see blue rectangles representing your displays

    • Make sure “Mirror Displays” is unchecked.
    • Drag the white menu bar to the display you want as your main screen.

    1. For Windows
    • Press Windows + P and select Extend.

I hope this information is helpful. Please follow these steps and let me know if it works for you. If not, we can work together to resolve this.

Thank you for your patience and your understanding. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to share them in the comments on this post so I can continue to support you.

I look forward to continuing the conversation.
