Blocking of MS Team APPS having recording capabilities

Hi Team,

We have noticed some of the third part apps which record teams calls like FireFlies , Notetaker etc. Are been automatically joining many of Team meetings.

We have suspicions thay they might be spying and want to block for all the employees in organization.

We also want to block any team meets with somebody outside organization . If they are connecting with the employees in our organization.

Can you please help.

1/ Block Third-Party Apps with Recording Capabilities

You can follow my guidance to block them:

Go to Teams Admin Center:

Navigate to Teams apps -> Manage apps.
Search for the apps (e.g., Fireflies, Notetaker).
Block these apps for the entire organization.

2/ Prevent External Participants from Joining Meetings

Restrict External Access:

Restrict Guest Access:

In Teams Admin Center -> Guest access, set Guest access = Off.
This blocks guests from joining meetings or accessing resources.
