Managing bookmarks, browsing history, and downloads in Edge on Windows 11
If your bookmarks are not visible in Microsoft Edge after a Windows update, you can try the following steps to recover them:
- Check the Favorites Bar: Ensure that the Favorites Bar is enabled. You can do this by clicking on the ellipses icon (...) in the upper-right corner, going to Settings, then Appearance, and toggling the Show favorites bar option.
- Access the Favorites Hub: Press
Ctrl + Shift + Oto open the Favorites Hub, where you can view all your bookmarks. If they are missing here, they may need to be restored. - Restore from Backup: If you previously exported your favorites, you can import them back. Go to the Favorites Hub, click on the ellipses (...), select Import favorites, and choose the file you saved.
- Sync Issues: If you use Microsoft Edge Sync, ensure that your sync settings are correct. Go to Settings > Profiles > Sync and check if favorites are set to sync.
- Reset Sync: If there are still issues, you can reset your sync data. Go to Settings > Profiles > Sync and select Reset sync. This may help in restoring your bookmarks.
