I can no longer select a section of text in Word to copy/paste/highlight/etc, etc. I'm working on a MacBook Air with the latest edition of Word installed. Any ideas? I'd be so grateful.

Bob thank you so much for taking the time to respond.

All sorted. All that was needed was a simple restart of my Mac. Amazing.

Thanks again and Happy Festive season.

First, see whether a simple restart of the Mac restores the capability.

If not: Selection is a function of the OS. Make sure the edition you're using is fully updated. Confirm that Office is fully updated as well.

Also, see this existing thread for more detail as well as some additional selection techniques which are far more efficient than dragging: Select Text
